The journey to the years of the pandemic…

My original plan was for a longer and more adventurous journey of 17,000 kilometers but the new reality and the constraints it brought, made me to postpone it for 2022 and move on to Plan B, and a journey of about 7,000 kilometers! Of course at the moment I’m writing these lines I am worried that something will change dramatically and new bans will come in terms of travelling to other countries and I will be stuck with my plans… Anyway, let me be optimistic! I always see the glass half full!

I have traveled to almost every country in Europe (I only miss Portugal and Iceland) but certainly none of us have traveled in every bit of every country. So this year I decided to explore more of the western part of the Czech Republic, to which I have been twice but not to the west. I have also been to Poland five times, but I have never been to the western part, near to the border with Germany, and to be on its Baltic coast… I have been to Romania more than 15 times… Yes! My first trip there was in 1982 and I got to know the country quite well during those years. Nevertheless, there are still some parts of the country that I don’t know and so on my return from the north I will ride to these places to explore them. I will cross all the three passes (Transursoaia, Transalpina and Transfagarasan) and I will return full of images to Greece… Full? I mean I will be almost complete in regard to these three countries…

I have been "working" for several days on this trip which will last about a month and I have many things to see and do and of course to share them with you!

The motorcycle is ready and waiting for the moment to start our trip! My check-out list of things which I’ll take with me is ready! My psychology gets up more and more as the moment to leave gets closer!
